About Aspex Incorporated ?

To successfully compete in today’s marketplace, manufacturers and scientific research firms often require non-contact inspection and tracking systems. Aspex Incorporated designs, develops and manufactures high performance image processing systems to meet these needs.

Since 1978, Aspex has extensive experience and a very successful track record in the image processing field. We use the newest imaging technologies and highest precision manufacturing to deliver the most advanced, functional, and reliable systems for a wide variety of applications.

Testifying to our expertise, our SpinTrak spinnerette inspection systems received a Recognition Award for Superior Technology and Fast Cycle Time from E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, and our PIPE real time image processing super-computer for target tracking and autonomous vehicle navigation received the prestigious IR 100-AWARD from Research and Development Magazine as one of the 100 most technologically significant new products of 1986.

In addition to the SpinTrak line of automated spinnerette inspection systems and the PIPE super-computer, our systems have included the PAPNET automated screening system for detection of cancer cells, an on-line hollow fiber inspection system, an advanced naval radar scan converter for video displays, diagnostic and surgical instrumentation for ophthalmology, microprocessor-based medical and test systems, and screen translation systems for real time Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

To produce such a wide variety of advanced image processing systems, Aspex employs attentive sales people, experienced design and software engineers, and skilled production personnel. We are all committed to enhancing our reputation as the source for expertise and excellence in the design, development, and manufacture of image processing systems.

Founded in 1978, Aspex Incorporated designs, develops and manufactures high performance products for demanding scientific, industrial and medical applications. The company is committed to providing comprehensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities spanning each stage of the design and production cycles. Aspex has delivered a wide range of products geared to success in the marketplace due to their elegance and profitability.

A quality control system developed for Ohm Acoustics Corp. enabled the company to pinpoint assembly defects, expediting their correction and introduce test procedures which significantly improved productivity.

Manufacturing ophthalmic microsurgery instruments for Surgical Design Corp., Aspex has made a significant contribution to the quality and durability of the tools used in operating rooms on a daily basis.

Aspex was chosen by the National Institute of Standards and Technology a super computer for real-time image processing. The result of this joint project was PIPE whose new technology made a serious impact on robotics, target tracking applications and Models for autonomous vehicle navigation. Aspex’s PIPE has a prestigious list of users in leading Fortune 500 companies like Boeing, General Dynamics and North American Phillips. The system has also been extensively used by such advanced research organizations as NASA, MIT/ Lincoln Labs and Columbia University.
